Viel Freude beim Mitreisen…
The England trip poem
In front of Peter Breuer School
On a lovely Saturday
Students and parents embrace each other
Goodbye! Farewell! they say
After 20 hours
With laughter and tired eyes
We reached England safely
In the middle of the night
The ferry had brought us
Over stormy sea
To the land of fish 'n chips,
Curry and baked beans
Early morning
We reached school
Meeting our host families
Nice to meet y'all!!!
The rest of the day
Some chased sleep
Others discovered Bournemouth
Or went swimming at the beach
City time once more
The next day said
That was valid reason
To get out of bed
School was calling
In the afternoon
We all just thought
Let's get out soon!
Still the day ended well
With some free time again
And that’s how our great
Second trip day went
Third day "Hello London!"
You beautiful city
In wonderful sunshine
We saw you’re really pretty
London Eye, Big Ben, Chinatown
You name it
We looked, shopped, ate
And loved every single bit of it
Feeling great in the city of cities
The goodbye was hard
But we'll come back and for now,
keep the joy in our hearts
And with that
Our third day was complete
With lots of great pictures in our heads
We all went to sleep
Let's go to the beach!
Our fourth day shouted
The weather said
Well, I surely doubt it
But still we went
In rain and wind
Seeing the lighthouse and Weymouth
On Portland
Swimming in Lulworth Cove
After walking the coast in pouring rain
When you are wet once
Why not get wet again?
After warming up
At the café
We got the coach
Making back our way
Welcome to Bath!
The Romans have been here before
Building a bath in Bath
What do you want more?
This lovely cosy town
Was just like in a book
At every corner you just wanted to say
Oh Look!!! Look!!! Look!!!
This fifth day was truly great
With food, shops and the gift
Of great weather
We JUST enjoyed and lived
Our last day in Bournemouth
Just feels strange
After this amazing week
Everything will change
We have to say goodbye
The last time to our families
Some really got our heart
And now we have to leave
Doing some grammar
Back at school
Can tell you for free
Still don't know every rule
Now we're on the coach again
The last time for this week
Going home, excited to see our loved ones
To hug them with a squeak
The people we shared the time with
Our teachers and friends
Show us that this trip might be over
But our human connection won't end
I want to hug you all
You wonderful guys
‘Cause you all made this
An "adventure of my life"
And as the sun was going down
Big smiles in the warm light
All the pieces fell into place
Everything felt right
Drying the little tear
In the corner of my eye
All this was so beautiful
Goodbye. Goodbye. Goodbye.
Looking back on a wonderful time
Of joy and breathtaking views
Funny moments and memories
Our heart won't ever loose
Thank you!!!!!!
